No-bake Fudge Cookies


I received this recipe from my grandmother while exchanging letters and recipes with her in high-school. The first time I made it, my 2 younger brothers couldn't stop thanking me and eating them all. Now, 9 years later, it's still one of the top recipes they request for their birthday's or other special events! I like to eat them cold, right out of the fridge, while my mom likes them best at room temperature... either way they are deliciously rich and so quick and easy to make!

No-bake Fudge Cookies
Makes approximately 3 dozen

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking oats

1. combine sugar, milk, cocoa, and butter and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly
2. boil 1 minute and remove from heat
3. mix in peanut butter until melted and then add oats stirring quickly to incorporate
4. working quickly, place mixture in tablespoonfuls on wax paper to cool
5. once cool, remove cookies from wax paper and store in an airtight container
