Blackberry Cobbler

I made this delicious cobbler with fresh blackberries from the Farmer's Market and served it with freshly whipped cream. I LOVE the crisp layer on top with the soft, sweet, moist cake and berries underneath- yum! Quick to whip up and so so tasty- you can't go wrong with this recipe!

Blackberry Cobbler (From Pioneer Woman)
Serves 8

1 stick of butter, melted
1 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries (or any kind you like)

1. preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a round baking dish
2. melt butter in a small bowl
3. whisk together flour, 1 cup of sugar, and milk
4. add melted butter and whisk in until smooth
5. rinse and pat dry berries
6. pour batter into greased baking dish and sprinkle berries evenly on top
7. sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar over the top of the berries
8. bake for 1 hour, sprinkling remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar over the top during the last 10 minutes
9. serve warm and enjoy! :)
