Pumpkin Pie Poptarts with Maple Glaze

These pop tarts are like little personal pumpkin pies without any of the mess and half the time! I loved the spicy pumpkin filling in contrast to the sweetness of the maple in the glaze!

Pumpkin Pie Poptarts with Maple Glaze
Makes 6 mini poptarts

1 premade pie crust

Filling:
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
a dash of salt

1. mix together filling ingredients in a small bowl until well blended, set aside
2. unroll pie crust into a circle and cut off edges so you are left with a rectangle of dough
3. cut the rectangle into 4 smaller rectangles and use the edges you removed to make two additional rectangles, so you have six total
4. place a spoonful of filling on one side of each rectangle and fold remaining dough on top, like closing a book
5. use a fork to crimp all four edges of each rectangle to seal in filling
6. bake at 375 for 12 minutes or until lightly browned

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon maple syrup

1. whisk together all ingredients until smooth
2. Spoon a tablespoon of glaze over cooled poptarts and allow to dry- then enjoy! :)
