My Munchkin LOVES smoothies! She would drink one every day if she could and, although we enjoy going to Jamba Juice, lately we've dusted off our blender and started making our own together. It is so easy to pack an entire meal's worth of nutrition into one tasty frothy drink! We made this smoothie for breakfast the other day. She had fun cutting up the fruit, dumping in the ingredients, and pushing the buttons to blend it up; I enjoyed watching her suck up a breakfast full of vitamins, fiber, and protein for her growing little body!
Strawberry-Banana Yogurt Smoothie
1 banana, sliced
1 1/2 cups strawberries, sliced
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
2 tablespoons honey
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
2. Serve cold and enjoy!
