Dulce de Leche Brownies


Dulce de Leche Brownies
Makes 12 

8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, cut into pieces
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1 cup Dulce de Leche (try this homemade version!)

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line a 8 inch square pan with foil and butter well.
3. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Add the chocolate chips and whisk constantly over low heat until the chocolate is melted.
4. Add in the eggs one at a time, whisking to incorporate, then stir in the sugar, vanilla, and lastly the flour.
5. Scrape half of the batter into the prepared pan, then drop one-third of the Dulce de Leche in spoonfuls, evenly spaced, over the brownie batter, dragging a knife through to swirl slightly.
7. Spread the remaining brownie batter over, then drop spoonfuls of the remaining Dulce de Leche over the top of the brownie batter, again using a knife to swirl slightly.
8. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until the center feels slightly firm. Remove from the oven and cool completely before cutting.

  1. The other day I was cleaning out my pantry and discovered a can of sweetened condensed milk I had not known about. Now I know what to do with it :) These look delicious, so gooey and rich, just the way a brownie should be!!! I have this bookmarked so I can make it soon. Thanks for the awesome post!
