Chicken- Baby Star Soup

This is the soup that my mom would make us as kids when we had a bad cold or the flu, that I would make for myself in the dorm kitchen when I was feeling under the weather in college, and that I now make for my 3 1/2 year old and 18 month old when they're sick! It's super easy and is just the right size to serve one adult or two toddlers! This is also a great dish for babies who are learning to eat more chunky mixtures, since it's soft and full of both protein and Vitamin C!

Chicken- Baby Star Soup
Makes 1 adult serving, 2 toddler servings, or 4 baby servings

1 can chicken broth (14.5 ounces)
1/4 cup (about 8) finely chopped baby carrots (pieces should be no bigger than 1/4 inch)
1/4 cup Stellina (baby star pasta) or Orzo

1. In a small saucepan bring chicken broth and carrots to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes.
2. Add pasta and cook as directed on the box (about 8 minutes), until pasta and carrots are both very tender.
3. Ladle soup into bowls (allow to cool before serving to children), eat, and start feeling better immediately!
