Haggis, Electrocution, and Road Trips...

It's been a while since I posted a recipe, in case you hadn't noticed, so I thought I'd explain why...

First there was this...
The Scottish Highlands...

Castle ruins on the banks of Loch Ness...

Then there was this...
Pretty sure this is not supposed to happen...

And finally there was this...
Hangin' with the nieces and nephew...
First I got to tag along on a business trip with the hubby to Scotland for a week, while Grammie babysat the Munchkins. It was epic! Drove through the highlands, ate at pubs, listened to bagpipe music, visited castles, and loved every minute of it!
The day we got home, my laptop exploded. I have no idea what happened, but one minute I am about to open the lid and suddenly the screen is falling out and plastic is cracked off and wires are ripped out and things are beeping and smelling like burning plastic... not good.
Then, we decided (totally spur-of-the-moment) to road trip it up to Oregon, 12 hours of driving with 2 toddlers, to visit family for a week. We relaxed, played, talked, and ate out. It was awesome.

Anyway, we are done with the traveling adventures for a while and I am currently writing this post on my new, safe, and completely awesome little laptop (Happy Birthday to me- thanks hubby!) so you can look forward to a flurry of delicious recipes bombarding you in the very near future!

It's good to be back. In America. In California. In my kitchen.
Let the adventures in food resume! :)
