Chocolate Peanut Butter Acorn Cookies

I saw a picture of these adorable chocolate kiss acorn cookies in a picture online while searching for ideas for Munchkins Winnie the Pooh birthday party. While they were perfect for her birthday party, they're also a perfect dessert for the kids at Thanksgiving, or as edible decor at any Fall gathering! These cute little treats are easy and fun for kids to help create in assembly line fashion and they taste even better than they look!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Acorn Cookies

1 bag snack sized nutter butters (the circle shaped ones)
1 bag mini chocolate chips
1 bag Hershey kisses (I used Almond kisses and Caramel Kisses- YUM!), unwrapped

1. In a small, plastic bowl, microwave 1/4 cup of chocolate chips at 30 second intervals until melted and smooth.
2. Holding the tip of a Hershey Kiss, dip the flat part slightly in the melted chocolate, then press on top of a snack -sized Nutter Butter cookie and place on a cookie sheet or tray to cool. Repeat for remaining cookies/ kisses.
3. As soon as they've cooled, tip acorns on their sides, dip the end of a mini chocolate chip in the melted chocolate, and then attach it to the other side of the Nutter Butter circle to form the acorn cap.
4. Once all the chocolate has dried, you can gently place your acorns in a an airtight Tupperware bowl or Ziploc bag until ready to serve.
5. Enjoy! :)
