Nutella Cheesecake Mousse Filled Puff Pastry Tarts

In celebration of World Nutella Day this year, I filled flaky, puffed pastry tart shells with a rich and creamy Nutella Cheesecake Mousse and topped them with designs made of melted chocolate! This dessert makes a decadent finale to a dinner party and only takes a few minutes to assemble before you and your guests can enjoy them!

Nutella Cheesecake Mousse Filled Puff Pastry Tarts
Serves 6

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Nutella
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup whipped cream (I used fresh whipped cream, but cool-whip will also work)

1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 box frozen puff pastry tart shells

1. In a mixer, beat cream cheese, Nutella, and powdered sugar until fluffy.
2. Gently fold in whipped cream until completely mixed together and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
3. Place chocolate chips in a ziplock sandwich bag and microwave at 30 second intervals until melted and smooth. Snip a tiny hole in the corner of the bag and squeeze chocolate out onto a piece of wax or parchment paper in a design. (I did hearts for Valentine's Day!) Allow chocolate to harden completely and then peel off the paper and set aside until ready to serve.
4. Bake tart shells as directed on the box and allow to cool slightly for about 5 minutes before filling.
5. Fill the inside of each warm, puffed pastry tart shell with a heaping spoonful of Nutella cheesecake mousse and top with a chocolate design.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
